Galvannealed steel features a zinc-iron intermetallic coating with a predominantly delta (FeZn??) and gamma (Fe?Zn??) phase structure. The controlled iron content (7-15%) in the coating creates a matte gray appearance and provides superior paint adhesion compared to conventional galvanized coatings. The base steel maintains a ferritic-pearlitic microstructure optimized for structural applications.

Galvannealing Process

MetalZenith employs continuous hot-dip galvanizing followed by controlled heating to 500-550°C in specialized galvannealing furnaces.
