GB 35CrMo is a low-alloy structural steel with chrome-molybdenum composition designed for high-strength applications requiring excellent hardenability and toughness. The chromium content enhances hardenability and provides moderate corrosion resistance, while molybdenum improves high-temperature strength and prevents temper brittleness. The balanced carbon content ensures optimal strength-to-toughness ratio after proper heat treatment.

Heat Treatment Process

MetalZenith employs controlled heat treatment processes to optimize mechanical properties. Normalizing is performed at 870-900°C followed by air cooling. For maximum strength, quenching from 840-870°C in oil or water is followed by tempering at 500-650°C depending on desired hardness levels. Critical cooling rates and precise temperature control ensure uniform microstructure and consistent properties.

Manufacturing Process

Production begins with electric arc furnace melting using high-quality raw materials and precise alloy additions. Secondary refining through ladle furnace treatment removes impurities and adjusts chemistry. Continuous casting produces high-quality billets which undergo controlled hot rolling to achieve desired dimensions and mechanical properties. Advanced process control ensures consistent quality throughout production.
