GB Q235 is a low-carbon structural steel with a ferritic-pearlitic microstructure that provides excellent balance of strength, ductility, and weldability. The steel exhibits good cold forming properties and can be readily welded using conventional techniques without preheating requirements for most applications.

Heat Treatment Options

MetalZenith offers various heat treatment options including stress relieving at 550-650°C, normalizing at 850-950°C, and annealing at 680-720°C to optimize mechanical properties for specific applications. Our controlled atmosphere furnaces ensure consistent results and minimal surface oxidation.

Welding & Fabrication Guidelines

Post-weld stress relief may be beneficial for critical applications or heavy sections to minimize residual stresses and improve dimensional stability.
