HSLA 350 steel features a fine-grained ferrite-pearlite microstructure with controlled precipitation of microalloying elements including vanadium, niobium, and titanium. The thermomechanical controlled processing (TMCP) employed by MetalZenith promotes grain refinement and precipitation strengthening, resulting in enhanced strength without compromising ductility and toughness.
Heat Treatment & Processing
MetalZenith's HSLA 350 is produced through controlled rolling in the austenite recrystallization temperature range (1000-1100°C), followed by accelerated cooling to optimize the final microstructure. The steel is typically supplied in the as-rolled condition and does not require additional heat treatment. Stress relieving can be performed at 580-650°C if required for specific applications.
Manufacturing Process Excellence
Our integrated production process begins with electric arc furnace steelmaking, followed by ladle refining and continuous casting. The hot rolling process utilizes computer-controlled rolling schedules to achieve precise mechanical properties. Advanced process control systems monitor temperature, reduction ratios, and cooling rates to ensure consistent quality throughout production.
