The controlled carbon content (0.17-0.24%) provides excellent weldability while maintaining adequate strength. The steel exhibits fine grain structure achieved through controlled rolling and normalizing heat treatment, ensuring uniform mechanical properties throughout the material thickness.
Heat Treatment Process
MetalZenith employs precise heat treatment protocols including normalizing at 900-950°C followed by air cooling. This process refines the grain structure, relieves internal stresses, and optimizes mechanical properties. Optional stress relief annealing at 600-650°C may be applied for heavy sections to minimize residual stresses and improve dimensional stability.
Manufacturing Process
Our production process begins with electric arc furnace melting using premium scrap and alloy additions. The molten steel undergoes ladle refining for precise chemistry control and degassing. Continuous casting produces high-quality billets, which are subsequently hot rolled using computer-controlled rolling mills to achieve specified dimensions and mechanical properties.
