NS111 exhibits a single-phase austenitic structure with excellent solid solution strengthening from nickel and copper. The alloy demonstrates superior corrosion resistance due to the formation of protective oxide films, particularly in marine and reducing environments. The nickel-copper matrix provides excellent ductility and toughness across a wide temperature range.
Heat Treatment Process
MetalZenith employs controlled solution annealing at 870-980°C followed by rapid cooling to achieve optimal mechanical properties. Stress relief annealing at 480-650°C may be applied for dimensional stability. Cold working can increase strength significantly, with work hardening rates carefully controlled during processing.
Manufacturing Process Excellence
Our NS111 production utilizes vacuum induction melting (VIM) for superior cleanliness and chemical homogeneity. Hot working is performed between 1000-1150°C with careful temperature control to prevent cracking. Cold working capabilities include drawing, rolling, and forming operations with intermediate annealing cycles as required.
Quality Standards & Testing
All NS111 products undergo comprehensive testing including chemical analysis by optical emission spectroscopy, mechanical property verification, ultrasonic testing for internal soundness, and dimensional inspection. Corrosion testing in simulated service environments ensures performance reliability. Full material traceability and certification documentation accompany every shipment.
