The silicon addition improves elastic properties and resistance to tempering, while chromium enhances hardenability and wear resistance. The microstructure consists of tempered martensite with fine carbide precipitation, providing optimal strength-to-ductility balance for spring applications.
Heat Treatment Process
MetalZenith's heat treatment protocol involves austenitizing at 860-880°C followed by oil quenching to achieve uniform martensitic transformation. Tempering is performed at 420-480°C depending on required hardness levels. Our controlled atmosphere furnaces prevent decarburization and ensure consistent surface quality throughout the cross-section.
Manufacturing Process
Production begins with electric arc furnace melting using high-purity raw materials. Secondary refining through ladle furnace and vacuum degassing removes impurities and controls inclusion content. Continuous casting produces high-quality billets which undergo controlled rolling to achieve desired mechanical properties and surface finish.

All products comply with GB/T 1222 standards and undergo comprehensive testing including chemical analysis via optical emission spectroscopy, mechanical property verification, ultrasonic testing for internal soundness, and fatigue testing for spring applications.
