GB 20CrNiMo is a low-alloy steel with excellent hardenability due to its balanced chromium, nickel, and molybdenum content. The microstructure typically consists of tempered martensite or bainite after proper heat treatment, providing optimal strength-toughness combination. The nickel content enhances toughness and impact resistance, while chromium improves hardenability and wear resistance. Molybdenum additions prevent temper brittleness and enhance high-temperature strength.

Heat Treatment Process

MetalZenith employs controlled heat treatment cycles optimized for GB 20CrNiMo. Austenitizing is performed at 850-880°C followed by oil quenching to achieve martensitic transformation. Tempering at 550-650°C develops the desired strength-toughness balance. Manufacturing Process Excellence

Production begins with electric arc furnace melting using high-quality raw materials, followed by ladle refining and vacuum degassing to achieve superior cleanliness.
