The chromium content (0.90-1.20%) enhances hardenability and provides moderate corrosion resistance, while molybdenum (0.15-0.30%) improves high-temperature strength and prevents temper brittleness. The balanced carbon content (0.38-0.43%) ensures optimal strength-to-toughness ratio.
Heat Treatment Processes
MetalZenith's heat treatment protocols include normalizing at 850-900°C, followed by air cooling. For hardening, austenitizing occurs at 830-870°C with oil quenching. Tempering temperatures range from 550-650°C depending on desired hardness levels. Our controlled atmosphere furnaces prevent decarburization and ensure uniform heating throughout the cross-section.
Manufacturing Excellence
Our production process begins with carefully selected raw materials melted in electric arc furnaces with secondary refining through ladle metallurgy. Continuous casting ensures homogeneous structure, followed by controlled rolling or forging to achieve desired mechanical properties. Advanced ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle inspection guarantee internal soundness.
