Product Overview
Metallurgical Characteristics
EN 1.4571 is an austenitic stainless steel with titanium stabilization that prevents carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion. The titanium content, controlled at 5 times the carbon content minimum, forms stable titanium carbides instead of chromium carbides, maintaining the corrosion resistance of the chromium-depleted grain boundaries. The austenitic structure provides excellent ductility and toughness across a wide temperature range.
Heat Treatment Process
MetalZenith employs precise solution annealing at 1050-1100°C followed by rapid cooling to achieve optimal properties. The stabilization annealing at 850-900°C for 2-4 hours ensures complete titanium carbide formation. Our controlled atmosphere furnaces prevent oxidation and maintain surface quality during heat treatment. Post-treatment includes descaling and passivation for enhanced corrosion resistance.
Manufacturing Process Excellence
Our manufacturing process begins with vacuum induction melting using premium raw materials, followed by electroslag remelting for enhanced cleanliness. Hot working is performed between 1150-950°C with controlled cooling rates. Cold working operations utilize advanced drawing and rolling equipment with intermediate annealing cycles. Final processing includes precision machining, surface treatment, and comprehensive quality inspection.
Quality Standards & Compliance
MetalZenith's EN 1.4571 production complies with international standards including EN 10088-2, ASTM A240/A276/A312, and JIS G4303/G4304. Our quality management system encompasses incoming material inspection, in-process monitoring, and final product testing. Advanced testing capabilities include optical emission spectroscopy, tensile testing, hardness measurement, ultrasonic inspection, and specialized corrosion testing per ASTM A262 Practice A, E, and F.
